A bit about Tom.
Tom grew up in rural Hertfordshire and it was there, during childhood explorations of the local countryside, that he developed the keen eye for detail which would be invaluable in his future career.
Before discovering photography, Tom’s career path took several different directions, from the Household Cavalry to the Wine Trade, with the disciplines and people skills he acquired along the way proving a great asset in the world of photography.
Amazingly, it took a chance opportunity to spend a day assisting a well-known portrait photographer for him to realise where his true destiny lay.
Since then, Tom has built an extensive portfolio and is equally at home in TV, fashion, magazine, commercial and corporate photography, working with clients as diverse as actors, musicians, models, chefs and even royalty.
His special skill in portraits lies in his rare ability to get behind the everyday masks people wear, to capture that split-second moment when the guard drops and you get a glimpse of the real person.
Tom is dedicated to capturing the perfect image, be it portraiture, interiors or food, in his own inimitable style and in the most perfect light.
He finds inspiration in the Italian Renaissance portrait artists, especially in the way they depict light and shadow.
Tom splits his working time between London and Rome.
